Juan is a lovely young male with a gorgeous fleece. He is currently in training to become a walking alpaca! He has had a lovely gentle nature from birth and thoroughly enjoys this roles.
An alternative System for shearing. This involves a team of up to three – the shearer and one or two handlers.
One will handle the animal with the shearer while they are being shorn whilst the second removes the fibre, checking teeth, feet and so on.
The gentle and considerate shearing and handling methods ensure minimal stress for the alpacas as they’re shorn.
